Some of my favourite things
Just like Oprah Winfrey when she had her favourite things episodes on her show, I thought I’d share a few of my favourite things that I use in my business and in my corporate role.
Sometimes it makes more sense to purchase things once you’ve heard someone else use it, and enjoy the experience with it.
I like to think I’m a trustworthy kinda guy as well, and I have high standards… so hopefully my telling you about the things that I use and like will help you in case you want to try them out or purchase them for yourself.
1. The Remarkable 2 — Like paper, but not?!
The Remarkable 2 is the next generation of tablets. It is lightweight, has a screen that feels like paper when you write on it, and allows me to review documents, write notes, highlight important parts in e-books, and draw diagrams.
I’ve had mine for several months and cannot believe how much I use it. I’ve written a number of keynote presentations on it, used it to review contracts, and even converts my written text into typed text for me to use later.
I’m a huge fan of notebooks and have one for each different activity I’m involved in. Now, I simply use my remarkable 2 for everything.

2. Kajabi (website platform)
If you’re reading this blog, you’re reading it on Kajabi.
Kajabi is one of the leading all-in-one platforms for creator-led businesses. It can assist to turn your knowledge into products, and developing your know-how into online products. It has a range of products within it from websites to blogs, to online course platforms, online communities and membership portals, and coaching program platforms.
I was initially hesitant to make the move, but when I did, I was very glad I did. I’m using it to create my (soon to be released — hopefully) online on-demand course, and to run my website and email marketing.
Give Kajabi a try for 30 days (normally the free trial is 14 days…) by using this link HERE
3. Oura Ring
Not only is the Oura ring fashionable, but it’s also smart. The smart device uses sensors to track a heap of health metrics which you can view through the app or the Oura website. Oura provides daily scores so you know how well you slept, what your average heart rate is, and your readiness score.
I love it as it helps me to understand my habits, keeps me active, and allows me to improve things that I may not be doing as well on.

4. Yoodli — AI communication coaching software
Yoodli is the incredible artificial intelligence software platform I use to help my coaching clients (and myself) to improve public speaking and communication skills.
The platform allows you to record yourself speaking. It transcribes everything you say, picks up on pacing, non-inclusive language, your level of eye contact, and how many words per minute — to name a few of the features!
Try it and use it for free at this link HERE
5. Mellor Glasses — Smart glasses
I was recently gifted a pair of Mellor Eyes blue light glasses.
Not only are these glasses styling and protecting my eyes from blue light, but they are Bluetooth enabled and have open speakers so you can listen to music, and answer phone calls through your glasses.
Yes — I’m serious. Technology is wild. The glasses are also available as sunglasses too!
